We tend to take ownership of things and do not set limits, which frequently leads us into problems.
Sometimes we think that once we buy a house it becomes ours, but in reality, it still belongs to that bank that we’re paying monthly. Others think that after giving the bank thirty years of monthly payments and after paying twice or triple the original amount of the property in interest for about three decades that they become the owners of their home. They say, “Finally, I’m the owner!”.
However, there is another level of seeing things. Neither you, me or the bank are the owner.
The Bible says:
Many people get buried in materialism thinking that success means to possess as much as they can in the world. They get sick and lose their families and friends trying to obtain as much as they can, but I have never seen anyone who takes their luxurious vehicles to heaven (or hell). I have never seen anyone buried with their mansion and fishing boat.
Jesus said:
I want to remind you that you are only an administrator, God is the owner. We have only been entrusted with cars, homes, families, bank accounts, resources, time, and abilities to use (administer) them to fulfill His purpose, not to live “the crazy life” destroying others and ourselves.
The Bible says:
Think about it:
What possessions or abilities has God given you?
Do you know what is enough and do you have a plan? Or are you running this race blind and rampant?
How can you use what you possess for the good of humanity?
